Mindfulness Training

The more we understand the brain, the more mindfulness is recognized as a vital component to wellbeing. Mindfulness, the act of being fully present in the moment, can be practiced in various ways, including techniques beneficial for executive coaching and psychotherapeutic interventions. These practices may encompass traditional guided and unguided meditation, Tibetan singing bowl meditation, and even innovative approaches like virtual reality meditation. Additionally, biofeedback methods, such as heart rate variability (HRV) training and sensory focus brain training, can enhance mindfulness, particularly for individuals undergoing psychological evaluation or psychosexual evaluation. Furthermore, mindfulness techniques are increasingly utilized in therapies for PTSD management, supporting a comprehensive approach that may include forensic evaluation as part of the healing process.

A USMC veteran, Dr. Hafele's therapeutic approach is characterized by a pragmatic communication style. Trained in CBT and traditional Behavioral approaches, she also incorporates narrative and collaborative methods in her psychotherapy. Her focus remains on processing the emotional components and developing a plan for positive change, which may also include forensic evaluation when necessary.

Background

Dr. Hafele was raised in the heart of Cajun Country in Louisiana and continues to value her rich heritage. After serving as an active duty US Marine, she remains involved in the veteran community, advocating for mental health through various therapeutic practices, including psychotherapy.
